Governor Sanderson Scholarship in Population Health at the University of Western Australia 2026

Introduction: 

The Governor Sanderson Scholarship in Population Health is funded by Haruhisa Handa through support of the Governor John Sanderson Fund and administered by the University of Western Australia. It is part of the Dr. Haruhisa Handa International Leadership Scholarship Program and supports future public health leaders undertaking field-based research in Asia.

Eligibility requirements for the Governor Sanderson Scholarship in Population Health at the University of Western Australia:

• Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
• Have accepted an offer and be in the first 48 credit points of a Master of Public Health at the University of Western Australia.
• Demonstrate interest in a dissertation project that includes a field component in Asia.

Value of the scholarship:

A full-time student will be awarded AUD 25,000.
