The Department of Science & Technology (DST) has launched several ground-breaking programs to encourage deserving students to major in the natural and basic sciences at colleges and universities and to pursue careers in research in fields such as engineering, medicine, agriculture, and veterinary sciences through the different INSPIRE components.

Eligibility Criteria for INSPIRE Fellowship:

Applicants must:

Have at least 70 percent marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Sc. or integrated M.Sc./M.S. in basic or applied sciences.
Or be a first-rank holder at the university level in a postgraduate examination in basic or applied sciences, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, or veterinary sciences.
Be pursuing or planning to pursue a Ph.D. programme in basic or applied sciences.
Apply online through the INSPIRE portal when applications are open.
