Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians (HESPAL)
The University of York is proud to be a part of the HESPAL Scholarship Scheme – a programme led by the British Council in partnership with UK universities, offering Master's scholarships to Palestinian academic staff to pursue their studies at UK universities.

Eligibility criteria -

• The applicant must be a Palestinian resident of the Occupied Palestinian Territories (West Bank and Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip)
• They must be currently employed by one of the Palestinian partner universities
• Be nominated by your employer Palestinian University
• Have a written commitment to return to work for your Palestinian university after the completion of your studies, for a duration agreed upon with your university
• Have a valid English language IELTS certificate with an appropriate grade for your selected course of study – other certified English exams might be accepted

Application process -

• The applicants must also surpass all the requirements set by the university.

Award -

• Two full tuition fee scholarships to study Master's programmes at the University of York.
• One fully funded scholarship (including tuition fees and living expenses) to study Masters programmes at the University of York.
