Legrand empowering Scholarship Program 2026

The programme supports Indian students pursuing a Master’s degree at a French higher education institution. Since 2018, it has helped talented students access quality education in France.

Fields: Management, Science, Engineering, Finance, and Social Sciences.

Eligibility criteria -

• Applicants must be Indian citizens living in India
• They must  be less than 30 years old at the time of application
• They must have good academic records (senior secondary & UG)
• They must have secured admission in reputable French universities for courses commencing from September 2025
• They must also have a first degree, diploma, or professional qualification in their specialization
• Lastly, they should belong to low-income families (annual income should be less than INR 8 lakh from all sources)

Preference will be given to:

• Differently-abled
• Students from the LGBTQ community
• Single mothers' children
• Martyred armed forces, personnel, and children

Application process -

• Applications must be submitted via the official application link along with the required documents listed on the official website.

Benefit - The scholarship is awarded for up to a maximum of one academic year (September to June) and covers

• Monthly stipend of INR 59,500
• Visa and Campus France fees waiver
• The scholarship award can be renewed for a second year and will be subject to the students’ academic performance and attendance record in the first year of master's studies.
