Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians (HESPAL) at Imperial College London

The Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians (HESPAL) program at Imperial College London is a British Council-led initiative that provides fully-funded scholarships for Palestinian academics to pursue postgraduate studies (Master's or PhD) in the UK. The goal is to develop the next generation of senior academics who can help maintain and enhance international quality standards at Palestinian universities and foster sustainable links between institutions in Palestine and the UK.

Eligibility Criteria of Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians (HESPAL): 

1. The applicant must be a resident citizen of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, currently employed by a Palestinian partner university, nominated by their university, and committed in writing to return and work there after completing their PhD (with special provisions possible for candidates from Gaza).
2. The applicant must also hold a recent IELTS certificate that meets the English language requirements of their chosen PhD programme at Imperial.

Application Process: 

1. The applicant must complete and submit the official HESPAL online application form by the deadline, along with all required supporting documents.
2. The required documents include certified proof of Palestinian nationality and residency, academic transcripts, a valid IELTS certificate, and details of two academic referees.

Award: Full tuition fees, monthly stipend, and additional allowances.
