    Richard W. Fish Scholarship 

    The purpose of this scholarship is to honor Dr. Fish legacy of mentoring chemistry majors and pre-health students by supporting students interested in pursuing pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-veterinary careers or advanced degrees in chemistry.

    Eligibilityy criteria -

    • They must be pursuing majors in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biological Sciences.
    • They must have minimum GPA: 2.5 GPA in good academic standing.
    • They must  be of class Level: Undergrad: Junior, Senior.
    • The financial need is required.
    • They must be enrolled full-time enrollment at the time of award and at the time of application.

      • Must have an interest in pursuing pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-veterinary careers or advanced degrees in Chemistry
      • Must have completed at least one semester at Sacramento State before applying for the scholarship
      • Applicants should submit the name of a faculty member willing to offer a recommendation. Finalists for the scholarship may have their faculty reference contacted
      • Applicants should submit an essay describing their career path and how they have overcome an obstacle towards achieving educational goals
