Class of 1980 David Foti Memorial Award

Established in 2010 in memory of Dr. David Foti, '80, by his classmates in 1980, to support awards in the School of Dental Medicine.

Eligibility criteria -

The applicant must have completed the first year of dental school, display strong spirit and character, and taken actions that have helped their classmates.

The applicant answers the supplemental questions
- ESSAY QUESTION: Awarded to a student entering their second year who has displayed a strong spirit, character, and course of action that helped his/her classmates weather the difficulties and challenges of the first year of dental school. This may have been demonstrated by tutoring/counseling classmates, referring classmates to appropriate sources for assistance, organizing/leading or participating in meetings to discuss issues, alleviating tense moments with his/her jovial spirit, and being someone you would call a friend. Please attach a one-page personal statement or essay indicating scholarship attributes.
