Wetland Care New Zealand Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington
Wetland Care Research Scholarships support postgraduate students in New Zealand universities who aim to advance wetland restoration and conservation, producing outcomes that improve wetland management. Sponsored by Wetland Care NZ and Ducks Unlimited NZ, the scholarship aligns with their mission to protect wetlands and educate future generations.
Eligibility Criteria of Wetland Care New Zealand Scholarship:
- Open to postgraduate students whose projects address key priorities identified by Wetland Care NZ, including innovative solutions for wetland conservation, research on native threatened species, and strong conservation value.
- Projects may also cover any preferred research topics listed on the Ducks Unlimited Wetland Care website.
Selection Criteria:
- Applicants must be enrolled or intending to enrol in postgraduate studies at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, with preference for Master’s students, and be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
- Research projects must be based in New Zealand.

Note:
- Recipients must write a letter of thanks to the donor and submit a short report for publication in the Ducks Unlimited Flight magazine, with an invitation to present at a Ducks Unlimited conference.

- Scholarship funds can be used for living costs, equipment, logistics, or consumables and will be paid as a lump sum upon commencement or completion of agreed milestones.
