The Wellington Women Lawyers Association Scholarships support women studying law at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The Association promotes equal opportunity, legal reform, and professional development for women in law, with members including practising lawyers, judges, law students, and legal professionals.
Eligibility Criteria of Wellington Women Lawyers Association Scholarships:
- Applicants must identify as women, be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, and be enrolled full-time at the 200 level or above for their LLB or LLM.
- Applicants must be experiencing financial hardship.
Selection Criteria:
- Selection is primarily based on financial need, along with commitment to study, and involvement in family and community.
- Academic achievement is considered secondary, but successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to continue in law studies.
