Pakohe Sustainability Scholarship for Current Students at Victoria University of Wellington
The Pakohe Sustainability Scholarship for Current Students, a collaboration between Te Maka, the Scholarships Office, and the Sustainability Office, provides financial support to students who have shown a strong commitment to sustainability through community or university initiatives. It also supports students in leading or developing sustainability projects that align with the University’s sustainability goals.
Eligibility Criteria of Pakohe Sustainability Scholarship for Current Students:
- Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate studies at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
- They should also be actively promoting sustainability through their studies or involvement in activities such as clubs, Wellington Plus, the Wellington International Leadership Programme, Green Impact, community work, advocacy, or employment.
Selection Criteria:
- The scholarship is awarded to students who have made a significant impact in sustainability or have strong plans for future initiatives.
- If multiple applicants are equally deserving, preference will be given to those facing financial hardship or disadvantage.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Award: NZD 4,000.
Note:
- The scholarship comprises tuition fees contribution up to $4,000 paid during Trimester 2 of 2025.
- Recipients must act as ambassadors for the University, which may include some promotional activity.
- Part-time study may be approved at the discretion of the selection panel.
