Fujitsu Cyber Security Services Scholarships at Victoria University of Wellington

The Fujitsu Cyber Security Services Scholarship, established in 2019, supports two students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington studying Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering. It aims to strengthen New Zealand’s cyber security expertise by promoting diversity and is awarded based on academic merit.

Eligibility Criteria of Fujitsu Cyber Security Services Scholarships:

1. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, majoring in Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering at the 200 level or above.
2. Candidates must have completed at least 80 points at the 100 level and be eligible to obtain and maintain a New Zealand Security Clearance as per national requirements.

Selection Criteria: 

1. Applicants must be majoring in Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering and not receiving any scholarship or sponsorship from another technology or information security company.
2. Selection is primarily based on academic merit, with preference given to female applicants or students from minority groups, particularly Māori and Pacific Peoples.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. 

Award: Upto NZD 9,000 towards tuition fees.

Note: 

1. The Scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
2. The Scholarship may be held in conjunction with other awards unless the recipient has received a scholarship from another technology or information security company.
