UQ Excellence Scholarship 2023

About the Scholarship:

The UQ Academic Scholarship program includes the UQ Excellence Scholarship. Established in 2008, the scholarship is sustained by donations and finances from The University of Queensland.

Eligibility for the UQ Excellence Scholarship:

• Applicants should achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent).
• Candidate should be an Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.
• Except for what was required for Year 11–12 coursework, the candidate should not have completed any prior postsecondary education (such as an Enhanced Studies Program).
• As of December 18, the student ought to have used QTAC to apply for a post-secondary education and had UQ designated as their top choice.
• In 2024 (or 2025 if delayed), the candidate plans to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree at UQ.

Selection criteria:

The student should have either an exceptional academic record as judged by the selection panel, or a record of notable leadership and/or community service accomplishments combined with exceptional academic proficiency.

Application Process:

A student must apply through the UQ application site and will need the following documents:

Proof of their most notable leadership and community service accomplishments from Years 11 and 12, as well as their QTAC application number.
