    2026 S2 Gnaala Karla Booja Scholarship Programme

    The 2026 S2 Gnaala Karla Booja Scholarship Programme is supported by Newmont Australia as part of its commitment to reconciliation, inclusion and diversity, and increased tertiary education opportunities for Gnaala Karla Booja–Noongar students.

    Eligibility criteria of the 2026 S2 Gnaala Karla Booja Scholarship Programme:

    • The applicant must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent with a confirmed connection to the Gnaala Karla Booja Noongar community.
    • The applicant must study full-time or part-time with extenuating circumstances at the university.
    • The applicants must be enrolled in Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Environmental and Conservation Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering and Energy, or Business programs at the university.
    • The applicant must not hold another mining industry-awarded tertiary scholarship at or external to Murdoch University.

    Application process for the 2026 S2 Gnaala Karla Booja Scholarship Programme:

    • The applicants must fill out the given application form on the university's website.
    • The applicant must submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words explaining why they are a worthy recipient, how the scholarship will support their studies, and their cultural linkages to the Gnaala Karla Booja–Noongar community.

    Payment method:

    • AUD 4,000 is paid in the semester the scholarship is awarded.
    • AUD 4,000 is paid in the consecutive semester.
    • Payments are made directly to the recipient's nominated bank account, with processing commencing from Week 7 of each semester.
