The Inspiring Minds Equity Scholarship aims to provide support to students who can demonstrate academic achievement in their current ECU course and are experiencing financial difficulties and circumstances in either the past or present that have had a significant impact on their life affecting their capacity to focus on their studies.

Eligibility for ECU Inspiring Minds Equity Scholarship:

This scholarship is open to current ECU students and encourages applications from;

  • students from low socio-economic backgrounds
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
  • students with disability
  • students with chronic illness, medical conditions, and/or mental health conditions
  • students with caring responsibilities
  • care leavers / people with experience of out-of-home care
  • students from rural or regional areas of Australia
  • LGBTIQA+ students
  • students impacted by family and domestic violence

Value of ECU Inspiring Minds Equity Scholarship:

The scholarship offers a one-off payment of AUD 3,000.

Selection: Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee. Selection will be based on the content of the Personal Statement.

Application: Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal.
