University of London - School for Oriental and African Studies' H.E. Dr Issa Ghanim Jassim Al-Kawari Scholarship in UK, 2019

The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) the University of London is offering scholarships to pursue a full-time master's program focusing on the study of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.   

Eligible programs for the H.E. Dr. Issa Ghanim Jassim Al-Kawari Scholarship, 2019:

• full-time MA Islamic Studies (in the Department of the Languages and Cultures of the Near and the Middle East) with a focus on the GCC region
• full-time MA Ancient Near Eastern Languages (in the Department of the Languages and Cultures of the Near and the Middle East) with a focus on the languages of the GCC region
• full-time MA Arabic Literature (in the Department of the Languages and Cultures of the Near and the Middle East) with a focus on the literature of the GCC region
• full-time MSc Economics with reference to the Middle East (in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences) with a focus on the GCC region
• full-time MA Islamic Societies and Cultures (in the Department of the Languages and Cultures of the Near and the Middle East) with a focus on the GCC region
• full-time MA Near and Middle Eastern Studies (in the Department of the Languages and Cultures of the Near and the Middle East) with a focus on the GCC region
• full-time MA History of Arts and Architecture of the Islamic Middle East (in the Department of History of Art and Archaeology, Faculty of Arts and Humanities) with a focus on the art of the GCC region
• full-time MA Media and the Middle East (in the Centre for Media Studies, Faculty of Arts and Humanities) with a focus on the media of the GCC region
• full-time MSc Middle East Politics (in the Department of Politics and International Studies, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences) with a focus on the politics of the GCC region

Eligibility for University of London - School for Oriental and African Studies' H.E. Dr. Issa Ghanim Jassim Al-Kawari Scholarship in UK, 2019:

• The applicants for H.E. Dr. Issa Ghanim Jassim Al-Kawari Scholarship, 2019 can be of any nationality.
• The candidates must have a First Class Honours degree.
• The candidates are required to have an offer of admission to pursue full-time programs at SOAS.
• The applicants must submit evidence for their motivation and commitment to the program, leadership potential, and why they are unable to fund their studies without the scholarship.
• The candidates are required to meet the English language condition of their offer of admission by 1 June 2019.

Documents required:

• The candidates applying for H.E. Dr. Issa Ghanim Jassim Al-Kawari Scholarship, 2019 must submit curriculum vitae.
• The applicants should also submit two references and a personal statement.
• The candidates are required to submit transcripts and their explanation for the degrees obtained outside of the UK.

Value of University of London - School for Oriental and African Studies' H.E. Dr. Issa Ghanim Jassim Al-Kawari Scholarship in UK, 2019:

• The recipient of the Scholarship will get £25,000 for tuition and maintenance.
