EU/International candidates of outstanding calibre may be awarded an International Enhanced Scholarship. The minimum stipend for 2023/24 is based on the confirmed 2022/23 rate. The 2023/24 GCU stipend level will be confirmed in Spring 2023 and will be linked to the UKRI doctoral stipend.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicant must have Master's or first class honours in relevant subject.
- Candidates must be external esteem markers such as funded scholarships/awards/prizes.
- Applicants should have made good quality, peer-reviewed research publications.
- Student should possess exceptional combination or level of skills related to the project.
Note:
Candidates should highlight the above qualities in their application for the advertised studentships. The international enhanced scholarship will be awarded to those candidates successful in receiving the award of the studentship project, who are judged to meet the above outstanding criteria and are in the top rankings for the limited number of international enhanced scholarships offered across the university each year.
Benefits:
The scholarship is worth a minimum of £34,468 per year for three years, with a continuation fee in the fourth year covered, if needed. The International Scholarship covers payment of tuition fees (£16,800) plus an annual stipend of £17,668.
