Monthly Stipends for All International Students are provided by Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology to students who have enrolled themselves for a Ph.D. or masters program at the University.

The value of Monthly Stipends for All International Students :

All successful applicants of Monthly Stipends for All International Students will receive an award in the following way from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology:

  • Student allowance: 140,000 won per month for M.S. students, 295,000 won per month for PhD students.
  • The monthly meal allowance is approximately 100,000 won.
  • Students must have completed at least 9 credits in the preceding semester for the above two.
  • International students receive a monthly allowance of 120,000 won and must have a GPA of 3.0 or better (out of 4.5) from the previous semester.
