The Newmont Indigenous Award at the University of Northern British Columbia supports Indigenous students pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies who demonstrate financial need and academic proficiency.

Eligibility Criteria for the Newmont Indigenous Award at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026 :

• Applicants must be Indigenous full-time undergraduate or graduate students.
• Applicants must have completed at least 60 credit hours if applying as an undergraduate student.
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need and academic proficiency.
• Applicants must be Tahltan, Gitanyow, or Nisga’a individuals to receive first preference.
• Applicants must be Indigenous residents of Northern British Columbia to receive second preference.
