This scholarship was established in 2017 through a bequest from Dr. Hilda Sheena Hudson, this scholarship supports part-time PhD students at Victoria University of Wellington pursuing research in the Social Sciences or Geography. Eligible fields include Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Social Policy, International Relations, Human Geography/Development Studies, and Psychology.
Eligibility Criteria of Dr Sheena Hudson PhD Scholarship:
- Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents enrolled or intending to enrol in a PhD at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
- Students transferring from other universities are also eligible to apply.
Selection Criteria: The selection of recipients will be based mainly on academic excellence, with consideration also given to financial need.
