David Day Award at Victoria University of Wellington
The David Day Award, established by alumnus David Day, supports postgraduate students conducting research in conservation biology, ecology, or biodiversity. It aims to assist Masters or PhD students with costs associated with their research projects.
Eligibility Criteria of David Day Award:
Applicant must be enrolled full-time or part-time in a Masters or PhD program focused on conservation biology and/or the study of ecology and biodiversity.
Selection Criteria: Applicants must have research projects in a related field, and recipients are selected based on the merit of their application and project.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Award: NZD 5,000.
Note:
- The recipient will be required to write a letter of thanks to the donor.
- Recipients are expected to act as Ambassadors for the Centre for Biodiversity and Restoration Ecology and participate in appropriate events or marketing if requested.
- The recipient will be required to provide a written report after the year following their award to be submitted to the donor.
