Allan Bower Indigenous Music Scholarship 

The Allan Bower Music Scholarship was gifted to Monash University by alumna Anne Martin, in honour of her husband, who was a jazz saxophone player, to benefit Indigenous Australian students who show great promise in undertaking undergraduate studies within the Bachelor of Music degree.

Eligibility criteria -

• The applicant must be an Australian national
• They must be commencing students intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Music (and Double Degrees) with a specialisation in any stream (Classical Music Performance, Composition and Music Technology, Jazz and Improvisation Performance, Popular Music) in the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music at a Monash campus in Australia.
• The applicant must be an Indigenous Australian
• They must have an ATAR score of 70+
• You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 each semester to retain this scholarship.

Application process -

• The applicants must also surpass all the requirements set by the university.

Award - $6000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.
