Eligibility for the Prestigious Travelling Scholarships:

You must meet the requirement for one of the following scholarships:

  • Rae and Edith Bennett Travelling Scholarship: offered to graduates of the University of Melbourne who are pursuing graduate study or research in England, Scotland Wales or Northern Ireland.
  • W.E.J Craig Travelling Scholarship: offered to graduates of the University of Melbourne who are pursuing graduate research in the area of animal husbandry at an overseas institution (preference for Queen's University Belfast).
  • Sir Arthur Sims Travelling Scholarship: offered to graduates of any Australian university who are pursuing graduate study or research at a university in Great Britain.
  • Hirsh and Olga Taft Scholarship: offered to a graduate of the University who are pursuing study or research at a university in Israel (preference for the Hebrew University of Jerusalem).
  • Ian Ramsay Maxwell Travelling Scholarship: offered to graduates from the University of Melbourne who are pursuing graduate study or research at an overseas institution.

Value of the Scholarship:

An allowance between $20,000 and $35,000 per year for the normal duration of the overseas study or research program.
