The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (/ˈhwɔːrtən/ HWOR-tən; also known as the Wharton School or simply Wharton) is the business school of the University of Pennsylvania, a private Ivy League university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Wharton was established in 1881 through a donation from Joseph Wharton. It is the world’s first collegiate school of business. Wharton's MBA program is ranked No. 1 in the world according to both Business Insider and QS, while Wharton's undergraduate program is also ranked No. 1 in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and Forbes.
