The Scholarship is open to applicants commencing the first year of their undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice course, including Engineering combined degrees. It is open to both current and non-current school leavers.

Eligibility Criteria for the WJ & LM Sinclair Scholarship in Engineering at University of Technology Sydney 2026:

Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold:
- Australian Permanent Residency, or
- Permanent Humanitarian Visa
Be a current school leaver with:ATAR ≥ 80, OR
ATAR ≥ 69 (for Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander applicants or Jumbunna pathway)
Be commencing first year in one of the following at UTS:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering Science
- Engineering (Honours) Diploma in Industry Practice
- Combined Engineering degree
Apply via the University Admissions Centre (UAC) for an Equity Scholarship
Demonstrate financial hardship and/or educational barriers
Submit the UTS online scholarship application form
Be available for an interview
