Eric Dreikurs Scholarship at University of Technology Sydney 2025

Overview:

The Eric Dreikurs Scholarship aims to assist continuing UTS undergraduate Law students that demonstrate financial need and support them during their study.

Eligibility for Eric Dreikurs Scholarship:

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; and
• Enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Laws undergraduate degree at UTS (single or combined degree); and
• Have completed at least one (1) year (minimum of 48 credit points) of the Bachelor of Laws (including combined degrees) at UTS; and
• Have applied through the University Admission Centre (UAC) for an Equity Scholarship and therein demonstrate financial disadvantage; and
• All candidates must apply using the UTS online Scholarships Application form to be eligible.

Selection process:

• Financial need as demonstrated in the UAC Equity Scholarship application
• Academic Merit (WAM in current UTS course)
• Motivation to succeed in the chosen Faculty of Law course
• Demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life. 

In addition to financial disadvantage, preference may be given to applicants that have experienced any other educational barriers as assessed by the UAC Equity Scholarship

Application Process:

In specific circumstances, recipients may request approval for part-time study from the Scholarship Selection Committee. If approved, scholarship payments will be reduced for the part-time period, with the adjusted amount determined at the time of approval.
