W.H. Bill Vaughan Trust Scholarship in Mathematics 

The W.H. (Bill) Vaughan Scholarship supports a high school graduate enrolling full-time in their first year of Mathematics at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. It was established by the W.H. (Bill) Vaughan Trust to assist students in pursuing university-level mathematics studies.

Eligibility Criteria of W.H. Bill Vaughan Trust Scholarship:

1. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents majoring in Mathematics.
2. Selection is based on Year 13 Mathematics grades and a written application explaining their motivation to study Mathematics at university.

Selection Criteria: The successful recipient will be selected on their Year 13 grades in Mathematics, and their written statement setting out reasons for wanting to study Mathematics at university.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Award: NZD 3,000.

Note: 

1. The scholarship value will be determined by the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation and paid after the recipient begins full-time study.
2. Recipients are expected to write a thank-you letter to the donor and submit an end-of-year progress report.
