Imperial College London offers a Sanctuary Scholarship program for undergraduate students who are from displaced communities, such as asylum seekers and refugees.
Eligibility Criteria of Sanctuary Scholarship for Undergraduate students:
- Applicants must have received an offer to study any undergraduate programme starting in Autumn 2026 and completed the Sanctuary Scholarship application form by 11:59 pm (UK time) on Friday, 24th April 2026.
 - Applicants must fall under one of the following categories: refugee, person with humanitarian protection or other protective leave (including Ukrainian visa schemes), or asylum seeker who has applied for refugee status in the UK.
 
Application Process:
- Applicants must submit their UCAS application, receive an offer to study, and complete the Sanctuary Scholarship application form by 11:59 pm (UK time) on Friday, 24th April 2026. They will need to confirm their personal details and immigration status, and upload proof (or provide an explanation if unavailable).
 - The personal statement should cover why they chose Imperial College London, how the scholarship will support their future goals, the challenges faced in continuing education due to their immigration status, and details of their financial situation and means of support.
 
Award: The scholarship covers full tuition fees, provides an annual stipend of GBP 16,500, and includes a one-time equipment grant of GBP 1,500.
