The Edna Waddell scholarships are for women entering their first year of full time study for undergraduate degrees in professional engineering or technology at New Zealand universities, open to school leavers and mature women.

Eligibility Criteria for Edna Waddell Undergraduate Scholarships for Women in Technology and Engineering 2026:

Be female.
Be entering the first year of full-time undergraduate study in engineering or technology at a New Zealand university.
Be either a school leaver or a mature woman who has not previously studied engineering or technology at this level.
Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident with at least three years of proven residence in New Zealand.
Meet the entry qualifications for the chosen degree programme.
Show interest, leadership potential, and knowledge of engineering or technology.

Value of Edna Waddell Undergraduate Scholarships for Women in Technology and Engineering 2026:

The target maximum value for each Scholarship is $5,000.
Up to six awards are available each year. Tenure is for one year.
