Vincent and Carmel Forgione Scholarship in Philosophy

The Vincent and Carmel Forgione Scholarship in Philosophy was established in 2022 by way of a gift from Ross Forgione in memory of his parents, Vincent and Carmel Forgione, to acknowledge their lives and ongoing legacy. The Donor wishes to support a scholarship in both Historical and Philosophical Inquiry and Law at the University.

Eligibility for the Vincent and Carmel Forgione Scholarship in Philosophy:

• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program or dual program administered by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and any subsequent related honours program at The University of Queensland with a major, extended major, or field of study in Philosophy.
• Students must be able to demonstrate they are in financial need.

Selection Criteria for the Vincent and Carmel Forgione Scholarship in Philosophy:

• Evidence of financial need.
• Demonstrated dedication to Philosophy, whether through extracurricular activities or academic achievements.
• Any other evidence that could be relevant to the applicant's potential success in their studies.

• Students must submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

Award: AUD 4,500 per year
