The Barns-Graham Assistance Award is an annual award offered by the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) to support students experiencing financial hardship who need to purchase essential items required for their studies.

Eligibility for Barns-Graham Assistance Award at University of the Highlands and Islands 2026

• The applicant must be currently enrolled in the BA (Hons) Fine Art programme.
• The applicant must be studying in any year of the bachelor's programme.
• The applicant must need financial aid to purchase necessary study-related items they would not otherwise be able to afford, such as a MacBook (or comparable laptop), art supplies, or other equipment.

Application Process

• The applicant must complete and submit the application form given on the official website.
• The successful recipient will be selected by a panel and will be asked to demonstrate financial hardship.

Notes

• The awarded scholarship amount cannot be used for course or living costs.
