The University of Edinburgh Business School values doctoral research highly because it contributes new perspectives, ideas, and enthusiasm that are essential to maintaining a strong research culture. The School is seeking doctorate candidates who possess a strong research enthusiasm and the ability to complete work quickly and with significant effect. The institution is aware that enrolling in a PhD program can be expensive, though. To facilitate the study of highly accomplished persons from many nations and backgrounds, the School is providing several fully-funded scholarships. An applicant wishing to pursue their study subject in one of the academic research fields will get each scholarship.

Eligibility for University of Edinburgh Business School Doctoral Scholarships at the University of Edinburgh:

• Candidates must anticipate starting in September 2024 and possess an unconditional or conditional offer to enroll in one of our doctoral programs. Only applicants who get an offer will be eligible for this award while they wait to hear back from their application. Therefore, ten working days or more before the scholarship deadline, please make sure that all required papers have been uploaded to your program application.
• To be granted Academic Standing, one must generally meet a minimum requirement of above-average academic accomplishment (65% or above overall at the Masters level) together with a dissertation of distinction (or the equivalent in another country). To pursue a PhD in Financial Technology, one must possess a Masters degree with distinction or its international equivalent. Applicants without a master's degree may be eligible for our PhD with Integrated Study programs provided they have an undergraduate first-class degree, or the international equivalent, with a dissertation module score of 70 or above.
• For the PhD program, students must fulfill the English language requirements. An IELTS certificate is the most widely recognized credential; an overall score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in each part is required.

Value of the Scholarship:

Full tuition fees (UK or Overseas level) with annual stipend for up to 4 years set at the UKRI minimum level (pro-rata for part-time students)
