Te Amaru–Disability Services Access Awards at Victoria University of Wellington
The purpose of the Te Amaru–Disability Services Access Awards is to provide financial assistance to students with disabilities that impact on their income or financial costs. They are intended to support disabled students who have made good academic progress and have one or more years left to complete their study.
Eligibility Criteria: These awards are available to domestic students who are enrolled for undergraduate or postgraduate study at Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington, and are enrolled at the University in the following year. Applicants must be able to provide supporting documentation of their disability if they are not currently registered with Te Amaru–Disability Services. Preference will be given to those experiencing financial hardship.
Selection Criteria:
- Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or Permanent Residents, currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme, and intending to re-enrol at the university the following year.
- Applicants must have demonstrated satisfactory academic progress over at least one trimester and show a strong commitment to obtaining a university qualification.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Award: Between NZD 500 - 1,500.
Deadline: 2nd October, 2025.
Note: The award cannot be deferred to a later year but may be held alongside other scholarships.
