Eligibility for Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Fellowship, 2019:

  • The applicants for SMART Fellowship, 2018 should have a first class or upper second class undergraduate degree or its equivalent.
  • The candidates should be new Ph.D. students.
  • The applicants who are already enrolled in a Ph.D. program are not eligible.
  • The candidates are expected to have research interests that fit within the projects currently carried out in a SMART Interdisciplinary Research Group (IRG).

Value of the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Fellowship, 2019:

  • The recipients of SMART Fellowship, 2018 get full tuition and school fees at their home university for four years.
  • Monthly stipend of $3,500.
  • One-time research residency for up to six months.
