Overview
The Ministry of Education of China (MOE) offers the full EU Window Chinese Government Scholarship to encourage higher education mobility between China and Europe. It funds scientists and students from EU member states to study for degrees (PhD, master's, and bachelor's), learn Chinese, or do scholarly research at Chinese universities. Every year, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) entrusts the recruitment to the P.R. China Mission to the EU.
Eligibility for Chinese Government Scholarship-EU Program:
- Applicants must be citizens of a EU nation.
- Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants pursuing undergraduate programs must be below 25 years.
- Applicants pursuing masters programs must be below 35 years.
- Applicants pursuing PhD must be below 45 years.
- Applicants pursuing general scholar programs must be below 45 years.
- Applicants pursuing senior scholar programs must be below 50 years.
- Applicants must fulfill the following language criteria for their respective program:
- Chinese-taught undergraduate or general scholar programs - HSK Level 3
- Chinese-taught senior scholar programs - HSK Level 3
- Chinese-taught master's or doctoral programs - HSK Level 4
- Applicants must surpass all the admission requirements set by the university.
Application Process:
- The eligible candidates must first apply to their desired universities.
- They must submit the online application at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn.
- They must submit all the supporting documentation as requested by the provider.
Value of the Scholarship:
The successful candidates are awarded a sum that is disclosed at the discretion of the university.
