Overview
The Shanghai Government Scholarship for International Students (SGS) is aimed at supporting outstanding prospective international students to pursue their degree studies at Donghua University. Established in 2006 by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the scholarship aims to promote international cooperation, attract talent, and enhance Shanghai's influence as a science and technology innovation center.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
- Applicants must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.
- Applicants must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs.
- Applicants must be a high school graduate at least 16 years old and under the age of 25 when applying for bachelor's programs
- Applicants must be excellent in academic and extracurricular performance and yet not be rewarded with any other scholarships offered by the government, institutes, or organizations in China.
Value of the Scholarship:
- Full Scholarship (Type A): Includes tuition fee waiver, medical insurance fee waiver, on-campus dorm fee waiver, and a monthly stipend (CNY 2500 for bachelor's students, CNY 3000 for master's students, CNY 3500 for doctoral students).
- Partial Scholarship (Type B): Includes tuition fee waiver and medical insurance fee waiver.
