Introduction:

This grant supports MSc Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security students from Africa to conduct field research in an African country. It helps cover travel and living costs for a one-month research placement as part of the degree.

Eligibility requirements for the SAFS African Research Grant at Royal Agricultural University:

Must be an international student from an African country enrolled in an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security.
Must have completed at least 50% of taught modules or demonstrate good academic progress.
Research must be conducted within an African country.

Value of the scholarship:

A GBP 2,000 is available to support a full-time student

Application Process:

Register interest using the Expression of Interest Form.
Submit a research proposal to your program manager by 23 May 2026.
Proposal is reviewed by a panel in early June.
