Overview

The Bob Savage Memorial Fund provides financial assistance to MSc and PhD students studying Palaeontology and Paleobiology at the University of Bristol. Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following programs at the University of Bristol: MSci Palaeontology and Evolution, MSc Palaeobiology, or PhD Earth Sciences (in the Palaeobiology Research Group).

Value of the Scholarship :

The fund offers financial support of up to GBP 500 per student, but allocate more awards up to £250, to cover expenses related to fieldwork and research activities. It does not cover conference attendance costs.

Application Process:

  • Prepare a single PDF document including:
  • An outline research plan (one side of A4 in font size 12) detailing the purpose of the fieldwork and research activities.
  • Summarized costs and requested funds, with an upper limit of £250.
  • Details of any other funding applications made, indicating successful, rejected, and pending applications.
  • Your CV.
  • Submit the application to Professor Michael Benton at mike.benton@bristol.ac.uk.
