The University of British Columbia has initiated the President's Academic Excellence Initiative PhD Award, which is available to all new and continuing PhD students except those who have their tuition paid by an external sponsor.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants from all nationalities are eligible.
Applicants must enroll in a PhD course of study at the university.

Application Process:

All candidates are automatically considered for the award.

Value of the Award:

Successful applicants are awarded the following benefits:
- CAD 585 yearly for domestic students being assessed continuing tuition fees.
- CAD 810 yearly for domestic students being assessed extension tuition fees.
- CAD 1,260 yearly for domestic students being assessed full tuition fees.
- CAD 1,500 yearly for international students.
