Eligibility Criteria for National Service Scholarship at Mississippi State University:

Applicants Must:

Be a U.S. citizen.
Be a first or second-year cadet and meet all criteria to be "enrolled" in ROTC classes, as defined by the Army/Air Force ROTC program.
Have a minimum ACT score of 20 or a minimum SAT score of 1200.
Not currently be on an Army or Air Force scholarship.
Meet the service age requirements as specified by the Army or Air Force.
Meet the service height/weight requirements.
Pass the Army/Air Force service Physical Fitness Test by the second semester.
Pass the Department of Defense (DoD) medical exam by the third semester.
The scholarship is conditional upon final approval by the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Value of National Service Scholarship at Mississippi State University:

The National Service Scholarship provides $1,000 over two years, distributed as $500 per semester.
