Paul and Jenny Newton, who both pursued undergraduate studies in mathematics at the University of Surrey, founded the Newtons' Undergraduate Scholarship in Mathematics. For a maximum of three years, this scholarship offers £3,000 per year in addition to £1,000 for a professional training year or placement, if desired. The scholarship program is designed to assist and motivate students from low-income families enrolled in any undergraduate degree program offered by the University of Surrey's School of Mathematics and Physics:
Eligibility for University of Surrey Newtons' Scholarship 2023:
- Available to all qualified UK students
- Needs full-time studies
- receive an invitation to enroll in any undergraduate course offered by the University of Surrey's School of Mathematics and Physics
- own a maximum household income of £35,000.
