Miss Pacific Fisher Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026

The Miss Pacific Fisher Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia supports students who have a connection to the Commercial Fishing Industry. Preference is given to students who are or were commercial fishers, followed by students with an immediate family member who is or was a commercial fisher.

Eligibility Criteria for the Miss Pacific Fisher Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student.
• Applicants must have a connection to the Commercial Fishing Industry.
• Applicants must be a fisher or former fisher to receive first preference.
• Applicants must have an immediate family member who is a fisher or former fisher to receive second preference.
• Applicants must not be connected only to recreational or sport fishing.
• Applicants must demonstrate satisfactory academic standing.
• Applicants must provide details of their connection to the Commercial Fishing Industry in their application.

Application Process for the Miss Pacific Fisher Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applicants must complete the Online Awards Application.
• Applicants must provide the name of the fisher/former fisher and their relationship to the applicant, where applicable.
• Applicants must provide proof of involvement in the Commercial Fishing Industry, such as a letter from an employer.
• Applicants must submit the required supporting information to awards@unbc.ca.
• The Awards Office/SCSB selects the recipients.
