Mayeux Family Perseverance Award at Georgia State University 2025

The goal of this scholarship is to encourage second-year nursing students who are overcoming hardships to finish their degree and enter the nursing profession to stay in school and graduate.

Eligibility for the Mayeux Family Perseverance Award at Georgia State University:

• The candidate should be considered to be a sophomore.
• The candidate should be pursuing a pre-nursing or nursing major.
• The applicant's GPA needs to be at least 2.7.
• Submit essay responses:
• Explain obstacles (financial, societal, or otherwise) your family has faced that have hindered your ability to pursue your degree.
• Please write an essay (up to 500 words) on how a scholarship will help you achieve your educational and career goals.

Application Process:

There is no need for a separate application, eligible students will be considered automatically based on their general applications.
