The School of Modern Languages is pleased to offer two scholarships to postgraduate taught one-year Masters applicants on either the MLitt Global Languages, Literatures and Cultures or MLitt Comparative Literature. The scholarships aim to reward academic excellence and promote widening access and participation in postgraduate study.

Eligibility Criteria for School of Modern Languages Masters Scholarships at University of St Andrews 2026:

Applicants must:

Be UK residents with Home fees status (Scotland or rest of UK)
Be joining one of the following full-time Masters programmes in 2026:
- Masters in Comparative Literature
- Masters in Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures
Hold a first-class honours undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
Demonstrate academic excellence.
