The Edgeworth Graduate Student Scholarships at Maynooth University are offered to students enrolled in an eligible program in the Department of Economics.

Eligibility Criteria for Edgeworth Graduate Student Scholarships at Maynooth University 2026:

Applicants may come from any nationality.
Applicants must either be enrolled in the one-year MSc Economics program OR
- Be a two-year Economics student who excelled in the first year of their program.
Applicants (One-year MSc candidates) must meet the entry requirements for the MSc in Economics program.
- Applicants must achieve a minimum 2.1 overall result in their honors undergraduate degree to be eligible for the scholarship.
Applicants (Two-year MSc candidates) must complete the first year of the MSc degree program.
- Applicants must achieve a minimum 2.1 overall result in their first year to be eligible for the scholarship.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply for the MSc Economics Programme in the Department of Economics via the online portal PAC.
They must submit a short statement (approx. 150 words) on why the candidate requires the scholarship and highlight the motivation behind opting for the MSc in Economics program.
They must send the statement to (alexander.farnell@mu.ie), and keep (aedin.doris@mu.ie) in cc.
Application deadline for students from Ireland and other EU countries: FRIDAY, JULY 3rd, 2026, 5PM (Irish time).
Application deadline for non-EU students: Closes FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH, 2026, 5PM (Irish time).

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship of EUR 3,500.
