John F. Villani Merit Endowed Scholarship at William Paterson University 2025

The John F. Villani Merit Endowed Scholarship was established by the family and friends of William Paterson University guitar student John “Jack” Villani in his memory for a full-time undergraduate student of sophomore status or higher.

Eligibility Criteria for the John F. Villani Merit Endowed Scholarship:

• Applicants can be of any nationality.
• Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students of sophomore status or higher.
• Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
• Applicants must be enrolled in the classical performance program, with primary preference given to a student who is studying classical guitar and secondary preference to an instrumentalist pursuing study in classical performance.

Selection Process:

The recipient of this scholarship is selected by the Department of Music.

Application Process: Applicants will be automatically considered upon completing a general application.
