International Merit Awards

The International Merit Awards provide financial support to international students who are entering an undergraduate program at the university on a study permit.

Eligibility criteria for the International Merit Awards:

• The applicant must be an international student.
• The applicant must be entering an undergraduate program at the university.
• The applicant must be enrolled in a course load of at least 80 percent or 12 credit hours.
• The applicant must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher in their previous year.
• The applicant must have a grade point average of 80 per cent or greater as calculated at the time of admission.
• Canadian citizens and permanent residents are not eligible for the International Merit Awards.

Application process for the International Merit Awards:

• Applicants must apply for the scholarship through the university's website before the deadline.
• Successful applicants will be notified with an offer of scholarship from the university. 

Award: CAD 5,000 per year

Note:

• If the applicant's residency status changes to domestic, they will no longer be eligible to receive this award.
• If an applicant requires less than four years of full-time study, they will only receive the portion for their study length.
