Sidney Black Memorial Engineering Award at University of the Highlands and Islands 2026:

The Sidney Black Memorial Engineering Award is presented to a graduating female engineering student at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) who has demonstrated a combination of academic achievement, personal qualities, and contributions to society or student life.

Eligibility for the Sidney Black Memorial Engineering Award at University of the Highlands and Islands 2026:

• Applicant must be a graduating female student at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).
• Applicant must have successfully completed a BEng in any engineering programme offered by UHI.
• Applicant must demonstrate a combination of academic achievement, personal qualities, or contributions to society and/or student life..

Application Process:

• Submit a nomination statement of one or two paragraphs (maximum 500 words) explaining why the applicant should receive the award.
• Nominations must be submitted via email to the relevant department at University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).
• Applicants may nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else.

Value of the scholarship: 

• GBP 500 is awarded to the recipient.
