The purpose of this scholarship is to support students of violin, viola, cello, or double bass in the School of Music at the University of Canterbury.

Eligibility criteria for the Harry Ellwood Scholarship:

Be a student of violin, viola, cello, or double bass in the School of Music at the University of Canterbury.
Be enrolled full-time or part-time in the School of Music during the year of the award.
Have successfully completed at least one year of study in a relevant course at the University of Canterbury.
Be progressing to a further year of study in violin, viola, cello, or double bass.

Value for the Harry Ellwood Scholarship:

The scholarship provides financial assistance at a value of $2,000.

This scholarship does not require an application. It will be awarded by the Council of the University on the recommendation of the Head of the School of Music
