Eligibility for Green and Gold Scholarships for Non-Residents at Colorado State University:
- The ideal candidate would be a first-year freshman.
- The candidate cannot identify as a Colorado resident.
- A GPA of 3.3 or above is required of the candidate (on a 4.0 scale). For scholarship reasons, your greatest cumulative GPA—weighted or unweighted—will be taken into account.
- The applicant must be accepted into a full-time program at CSU's main campus to pursue a degree. Students using CSU Online are not eligible.
Value of the Scholarship:
The scholarship offers amounts based on GPA. If you have a GPA of 4.0 or higher, you get USD 12,500 a year (37% of tuition). If your GPA is between 3.80 and 3.99, you get USD 10,000 a year (30%). For GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79, it's USD 8,000 a year (24%). For GPAs between 3.40 and 3.59, it's USD 6,000 a year (18%), and for GPAs between 3.30 and 3.39, it's USD 4,000 a year (12%).
Application Process:
There is no application process, the candidate needs to apply for the admission by:
- February 1 for a fall or summer semester start. If you have already been admitted and want to submit updated credentials to strengthen your eligibility, you must do so by March 1. If you start in the summer, you are eligible for the award, but the funds won’t be available until fall.
- November 1 for a spring semester start. If you have already been admitted and want to submit updated credentials to strengthen your eligibility, you must do so by December 1.
