  The Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Scholarship aims to provide quality education in Engineering and Science to women in the ASEAN region. Scholarships are available for Foundation and Undergraduate levels, including programs such as Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Project Management, Computing Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Quantity Surveying.
  
  Eligibility criteria include being Malaysian, female, and meeting academic requirements. Applications are open for Foundation in Science and Foundation in Business programs, leading to the eligible undergraduate programs listed above.

To increase access and close the gender gap in this sector, the university created this fellowship specifically for women who wish to work in science and engineering.

Eligibility for Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Scholarship at Heriot-Watt University:

The applicant should be a Malaysian female.
The applicant should enroll in any of the following undergraduate programs:

Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Construction Project Management
Computing Science
Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Passion in STEM

Application Process:

A one-minute video pitch describing your enthusiasm for STEM and how your work to date will influence your position as a leader in STEM fields ten years from now. (The video must be uploaded to YouTube as a shareable, private link).
A written personal statement.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful applicants are awarded a tuition discount of up to 50%, contingent upon an interview with university staff.
